If you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and wine.  Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing.  Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing.   If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

NOTICES
APPOINTMENT OFTHE BISHOP OF LEICESTER The appointment will be the responsibility of a body known as the ‘Crown Nominations Commission’, which will meet in the early Autumn of this year to consider potential candidates.  It is expected that an announcement of the outcome will be made towards the end of the year.  The Crown Nominations Commission comprises representatives of the national Church of England and six people elected by the Diocese of Leicester.  These six are: Mr Chrispal Anand, from Leicester,Mrs Anne Bloor, from Burton Overy, Revd John McGinley, from Leicester, Very Revd David Monteith, Dean of Leicester,  Revd James Shakespeare, from Market Harborough and Prof David Wilson, from Rothley.  Members of the public, as well as church members, are welcome to write to these representatives with an expression of view or suggestions of names by 20 June 2015.  They can be contacted c/o Mr Jonathan Kerry, Diocesan Secretary at St Martins House, 7 Peacock Lane, Leicester LE1 1SY or by email to  jonathan.kerry@leccofe.org  Please note that no correspondence can be entered into.  The diocese and the members of the Commission, would welcome the prayers of all those who feel able to support them in this way over the coming months.

LADIES NIGHT OUT The next ladies night out social, has been arranged for the evening of Wednesday 10th June.  We will be going to the Pug and Greyhound in Great Glen this time and meet there at 7.15pm.  If interested please contact Carole Henson hensonc@talk21.com or 0116 2403368 asap so that she can book a table!

DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING  The Parish Council has arranged additional training sessions on  Wednesday 1st July between 10 am and 12 noon and 12 noon and 2 pm in the Parish Office.  It would be helpful to have trained people associated with the Church.  Please let David Webster know by 14th June if you would like to attend one of these sessions.

LEICESTER CURSILLO Our Diocesan Cursillo will celebrate its 21st Anniversary at a Eucharist in the Cathedral at 2pm on Saturday 20th June. Bishop Christopher will preside and Father Hugh Burgess, Cursillo's National


Spiritual Director, will give the Address.  You are also invited to picnic in the Cathedral Gardens before the service from midday.


CHRISTIAN AID TREASURE HUNT –round Burton Overy on foot, and not too strenuous, on the evening of Wednesday 24 June.  Unfortunately, it is not suitable for wheelchairs.  However, if you’re not able to hunt, please come and join us for a chat and a drink at the Bell whilst we await the hunters’ return. The entry cost is £2.50 per person and further details of times, menu etc. will follow when you book.  Please contact Linda or John Warner [259 3701] if you’d like to come.  All proceeds to Christian Aid.’
