The Magazine - Call for Copy!
The deadline for copy for next issue of the Church magazine is drawing ever closer.
So could I remind all regular contributors and anyone else who would like to share their news, stories, thoughts and ponderings with the community to send your copy to: garry.bedford@mail.com
Thank you.

A huge THANK YOU to all who were involved in our cream tea on the 23rd June. We had a great mixture of people both very young and not so young enjoying the sunshine in the vicarage garden. As a result of that we managed to raise £430 towards repairs for our church floor tiles and new kitchen floor. Thank you to all who brought cakes

and raffle prizes, a special thank you to all those who help set up and serve on the day. It was a great success! We do have several pots of clotted cream left that we would be happy to sell after church at 25p a pot (that is the cost price and enough for 2 scones).
Thank you also for your prayers this week. We had 55 children at the Launde Abbey worship workshop retreat from many of the surrounding villages. It was an exceptional day both spiritually and with beautiful weather. The children were taught, through workshops, how to pray in silence, through walking a labyrinth, through drumming, through singing and through a station of the cross where we reflected how we are unique and wonderfully made. The children went away with a real lift in their spirits and many parents have come back to tell me how much it meant to them so thank you for your prayers.
Also for your prayers as we sought to appoint a new head teacher for St Cuthbert's Primary School. We had four really good quality people apply for the post, which in a way made the process harder as there were so many good people to choose from.
I want to say a huge thank you to Moira Bartlett who as our chair of governors did an outstanding job of leading us through the process of appointing the new head. We, of course, will share the results once it is public knowledge.

Please Pray for:
Mollie Alexander
Margaret Bannister
Sue Burnham
Christine Higgins
Elizabeth Tacey
Martin Tacey
Dave Neal
and all who are ill.
We give thanks for the lives of
Katherine Higgins and Valerie Smith, and we pray for their families.
Please pray for Rocco Seymour who is being baptised this Sunday; also Nii Anteson and Caroline Hadfield, and Luke Adcock and Tuesday Smith, who will be married in July.

Prayers for Healing
Special prayers for healing will be available during communion at the 9.15 am service the first Sunday of each month. Please come up for communion and if you wish to have prayer simply go the area near the font where there will be people to pray with you.
