August Services

Dear Church Family

I hope you are finding grace in God today and that there are times of encouragement for each of you. As you know we are now allowed to have church services but there are limitations. We are still not allowed to sing, share the peace and there are restrictions on the Eucharist but we can meet. The last two Eucharist services have gone really well and we have been able to do it safely. We also had our outdoor service on the Saturday last which went really well. So we are getting there slowly but surely, however, there will be hurdles to get over in the next few months. We will need to try things and see what works and what doesn't so I just ask that we be patient and take things one step at a time. So for the month of August we will have the following services:

August 2, 10:00 am Sunday Worship with Eucharist, Great Glen

August 9, 10:00 am Sunday Worship, Great Glen

August 13 10:30 am Thursday Midweek Eucharist, Burton Overy

August 16, 10:00 am Sunday Worship, Great Glen

August 20, 10:30 am Thursday Midweek Eucharist, Great Glen

August 23, 10:00 am Sunday worship with Eucharist, Burton Overy

August 30, 10:00 am Sunday worship with Eucharist, Carlton Curlieu

I hope that makes sense. For the families we are working on finding an alternative place for the children to have Sunday School. Unfortunately, the room in my house that we were using is not large enough for us to give the children enough space to be safe. I will let you know when that is sorted, we are working to find a solution as quickly as possible. The open space in the church is now open so the children do have some space. We simply need to keep the soft toys aside and only use things that can be wiped down.

Also the guidelines for church services have changed in line with the government advice and I therefore ask that everyone coming to the services please wear a mask. Of course those under 11 don't need to or those who have a medical reasons that mean they cannot wear one do have to wear a mask. Please adhere to this as wearing masks helps us keep each other safe. I have put the
C of E advice below*, we are in an enclosed space for at least a half an hour. So I would ask that you come with a mask to continue to keep each other safe.

As for September we will have to see what the guidelines are by that time and make a decision according to what is happening at the time. Thank you all for being so patient with all of this, we are doing our best to sort things out slowly but surely. Where possible we will try and see if we can do some singing outside to have a time of worship together however that of course will be weather dependant. May God bless you and keep you now and always.

Blessings

Kim

*We strongly advise that face coverings should be worn by all those attending a place of worship, including ministers, worshippers, staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors, where there may be other people present; remembering that they are mainly intended to protect other people, not the wearer, from coronavirus COVID-19 and that they are not a replacement for physical distancing and regular hand washing.
