If you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and wine.  Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing.  Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing.   If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

NOTICES

THE BISHOP OF LEICESTER is pleased to announce that the Rt Revd John Holbrook the Bishop of Brixworth in the Diocese of Peterborough, will be the Interim Bishop of Leicester from 1 September 2015 until the new Diocesan Bishop takes office.

NEXT BISHOP OF LEICESTER  The Archbishop's Appointments Secretary and the Prime Minister's Appointments Secretary have been in Leicester this week, consulting widely on the challenges facing the next Bishop of Leicester.  Please pray that a wise appointment is made.  This is not likely to be until the end of this year - the wheels turn slowly in the Church of England!

ARTHUR WHITFIELD It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur who was Organist and Choir Master at St Cuthbert’s Church for over 40 years.  He will be greatly missed by many people.  The funeral service will take place at St Cuthbert’s Church on Thursday 28th May at 12 noon followed by cremation at Countesthorpe.

BRING AND SHARE LUNCH on the 31st May at St Cuthbert's, following the 10:30 am service.  We would like to celebrate Trinity Sunday with a time to relax and share fellowship with one another.  There will be a list at the back of church for people to sign up.  It would be lovely to have as many as possible so we can enjoy community fellowship together.  All are welcome!

LADIES NIGHT OUT The next ladies night out social, has been arranged for the evening of Wednesday 10th June.  We will be going to the Pug and Greyhound in Great Glen this time and meet there at 7.15pm.  If interested please contact Carole Henson hensonc@talk21.com or 0116 2403368 asap so that she can book a table!

GREAT THOUGHTS

To act right simply because it is one’s duty is proper; but a good action which is the result of no law of reflection shines more than any.                     Thomas Hardy
