At Communion Services

If you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and wine.  Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing.  Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing.   If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

New Editor/s Required For The Church Magazine: It is time for someone else to take over, bringing a fresh look to the magazine; someone who can design a new format, using more modern technology. (We are limited to using Word).

We both have many other roles within our parish and also in the wider community and are committed to carrying on with that work. Therefore, the May –July magazine will be the last edition we will produce.

Please will someone take over from us so that the magazine can continue. You would need to start working on the August – October edition at the beginning of July.

Thanks, Lyn and Roger

Bible Study House Group will meet at 7.30pm on Tuesday 6th February at The Springs, Carlton Lane, Burton Overy.

Ladies Night Out will be at the Oadby Grange Farm Pub on Wednesday 21st February at 7.30pm and March 28th.

School Visit 13th March from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Woodgrange Primary School, Oadby will be visiting St Cuthbert’s Church for the first time and will be bringing the foundation stage children. We would like 8 or more volunteers to help us on the day as the children are much younger than normally visit.  We will still be showing them different parts of the church in groups, so if you can help please do let me know. Thank you, Kim

A Big thank you to all who have given money to our Dereda Church appeal. Together we raised £1300 to help them finish the church. I will be visiting Tanzania in May and will be able to see the work that has been done, while working with our Diocesan education program in the Region of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Lifts to Services: If you need a lift to any of our services, please contact Rev’d Kim for Great Glen or Richard Bloor (259 2440) at Burton Overy to arrange one for you.

Calling all football fans: I would like to ask any football fans who have spare clappers to save them for me for our donkey walk this year. You can drop them off at the vicarage if the pile gets too big! Thank you!

Please pray for:

·         Joan Amos, Mollie Alexander, Margaret Bannister, Sue Burnham, Christine Higgins,  Katherine, Mike and family, Elizabeth Tacey, Martin Tacey, and all who are ill.

·         the souls of Doug Kirby and Eileen Spencer
