Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing. Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing. If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

Kibworth Band Concert, on Saturday 25th June at St. Cuthbert’s Church from 7.30 pm. Another chance to enjoy a lovely evening of music from a local band with an excellent reputation. Tickets arte £8 payable on the door. Proceeds shared between St. Cuthbert’s Church and Kibworth Band.
Father’s Day – The Songbirds Choir from St. Cuthbert’s School are coming to sing for us at our Father’s Day service at Burton Overy next week and there will be edible gifts for all dads (and grand-dads) so do invite your family and friends to join us for this happy occasion.
Ascension Day saw 30 people at the early morning service at St. Andrew’s Church and for breakfast afterwards – our grateful thanks are due to Richard and Anne Bloor for cooking breakfast for everyone at their house.
Sunday Breakfast – join us for breakfast at St. Cuthbert’s Church after the 8.30 am service on 12th June (and thereafter on the 2nd Sunday of each month) – a simple meal (cereals, toast, etc) for people to enjoy some company. It would be lovely if some 10.30 service people would come to join us. Sorry, no bacon & eggs!
A Cookery Demonstration by Lucy’s Food, on Tuesday 21st June, 2011 from 10.00 for 10.30 am at Burton Overy Village Hall. Cost is £15 per person and includes coffee on arrival, a light luncheon and a glass of wine, recipe booklet and tastings. Food demonstrated will be raffled. Great Glen Charity – There is money to help people buy vital new equipment such as a washing machine if they’re stuck for funds so if ever you hear a comment like “I don’t know how I’m going to manage without …” please get in touch with the Vicar or one of the other trustees.
Hearing Loop – St Andrew’s Church at Burton Overy now has a hearing loop as part of the loudspeaker system. If you wear a hearing aid, adjust the switch to the T position and you will hear the service clearly.
Children during the 10.30 a.m. Communion Services - There are bible quizzes, colouring pictures, bible stories, etc available in a children’s area in the north aisle (whether at Glen or Burton). We hope that all children will come to the altar with their families to receive a blessing (or communion if they normally receive this).
Lifts to Services – If you need a lift to any of our services, please contact Howard Bartlett (259 3747) at Glen or Richard Bloor (259 2440) at Burton Overy and they will arrange one for you.
