At Communion Services
If
you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up
to receive the bread and wine.
Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to
receive a blessing. Keeping your hands
down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a
blessing. If you have difficulty coming
up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please
inform a sidesman.

Mosaic
Concert on Wednesday, 18th December at Burton Overy - Many of you will remember the group Mosaic coming last Christmas to
give a concert of Christmas music. They
are very kindly coming again so look out for details of what promises to be
another lovely evening of beautiful singing.
Concert
at St Cuthbert's on 22nd March 2014 - We have booked Yvonne Bloor, an
accomplished classical guitarist and composer to give a concert. Yvonne has given concerts in many parts of
the UK and abroad and her CD "Promise"
was released last December. It promises
to be an entertaining concert given by a very high-quality artist. It will also be a fund raising event
for the Parish. Please put this date
into your diaries now. Full details or
the arrangements for the concert will be announced early in the New Year.

subscribe and receive the re-styled quarterly magazine? If not, for the modest cost of £7 for four
issues a year the magazine will be delivered to you. If you do already receive the magazine, why
not encourage your friends and neighbours to subscribe too? For further information/inclusion on the

awareness of their work. The shop will

Keeping people in
touch
– Please do take copies of this news-sheet to anyone you know who might be
interested, especially to those who can’t get to church at the moment.
Humour
is a gift
– Written by an NHS medical secretary:
"The patient is tearful and crying constantly. She also appears to be depressed."
Please pray:-
·
For Peter Wood, John Spencer, Myra Humphrey,
Judith Buffrey’s grandson Joel, Rachel Stevens, and all who are ill.
·
For our village doctors, teachers, youth leaders,
shopkeepers and all who serve our village so admirably.
·
That the storms which are over our country this
week may pass without loss of life and with minimal damage.
·
For peace in all the troubled middle eastern
countries.
Proverb
of the Week: “Be careful what
you say and protect your life. A
careless talker destroys himself.” (Proverbs 13 v3)
