If you are a communicant member of a
Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and
wine. Otherwise you are welcome to
either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing. Keeping your hands down by your side will
signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing. If you have difficulty coming up to the
Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a
sidesman.
To
All at St Cuthbert's, St Andrew's and St Mary's, I want to wish
all of you a New Year full of God's very best. Whatever this year holds and whatever comes
your way, I pray that you will always know the love and peace of God
surrounding you through the joys and the sorrows. You are in my thoughts and prayers as we all
journey into 2016 together. Many
blessings now and always, Kim.

NOTICES
NEW
YEAR NEW VISION for the congregations at St Cuthbert's. We will be welcoming Rev Dr Stuart Burns on
the 20th February to come and help us look to what the future holds (details to
follow shortly). We will start with
where we've come from and look towards where we feel the Lord is leading us. Please mark this date in your diary so that we
can journey into what the Lord would have for us together.
THE NEW BISHOP OF LEICESTER is to be the Rt Revd Martyn Snow, currently Bishop of
Tewkesbury. The Bishop will be installed
in Spring 2016.
THE
FLOWER LADIES thank everyone who kindly gave donations for the Christmas
flowers. Your generosity is much
appreciated.
LADIES
NIGHT OUT is 7.30pm on
Wednesday January 20th 2016
at Oadby’s Grange Farm Pub. Please e-mail or ring me, if I don’t see you at
church, to book your place. Thank you. Carole Henson hensonc@talk21.com Tel. 0116 2403368
GREETINGS CARDS Please do have a look at the cards in church which are for sale. There are several new ones. Mother’s Union cards are priced at cost and that money goes towards funding Mother’s Union projects around the world. There are other cards in a separate box which are either handmade or from redundant stock for which we would appreciate a voluntary donation for church funds.
WHY
NOT PUT AN EXTRA CAN OR PACKET in your shopping basket to bring to
church services. St Cuthbert’s supports
Leicester Cathedral’s Welcome Group for destitute asylum seekers and St
Andrew’s supports a homeless charity.
Suggestions: rice, pasta (mainly spaghetti), oil, sugar, tea, coffee,
tinned goods (tomatoes, fruit, meat, fish, baked beans and sweet corn),
shampoo, shower-gel, toothpaste, deodorants, shaving cream/gel.
LIFTS
