At Communion Services

If you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and wine.  Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing.  Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing.   If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

NOTICES

THE RT REVD MARTYN SNOW was confirmed as Bishop of Leicester on Monday 22nd February at a service in the chapel of Lambeth Palace attended by 35 people from the diocese, and will officially be installed on the 14th of May.

CHURCH WARDENS!  I would like people at St Cuthbert's to consider if they would like to take on the role of church warden.  We will need two church wardens as of April, and I am looking for those who will join me as a team to bring the church forward in the future God is calling us to.  We have a lot of back up through those on the PCC and many people who have years of experience to help if anything gets tricky.  Ideally it would be lovely to have extras as well who would consider being assistant wardens who can than take over once the others step down in three years time.  Please pray and consider whether or not God is calling you to this role, to becoming part of the team who can help shape the vision for us as church.  If you're interested please come and speak to me.      Kim

TIME OF QUIET PRAYER AND MEDITATION is on 2nd March from 3.30 to 4.30pm. at 20 Kingfisher Close.  Further to this, we shall meet on April 6th - same time, same place.  For more information, contact Christine Higgins on 2592624 or chrisples@btinternet.com  otherwise please just come along.

WOMEN'S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER. This years service takes place on Friday 4th March at the Methodist Church at 2.15pm and has been prepared by the Christian women of Cuba.  The speaker will be Dr Miriam Stevenson. From previous experience I am sure she will deliver a fascinating address. Everyone is welcome.  Amy

MOTHERING SUNDAY March 6th, 10:30 am all are welcome to come and celebrate all the incredible people that have shaped our lives.

LADIES NIGHT OUT EVENINGS The date of the March Ladies Night Out is Wednesday 16th of March, at 7.30pm.  We will be going to the Yews in Great Glen.  I look forward to hearing from those who can come!  Carole Henson email hensonc@talk21.com  Tel. 0116 2403368

PALM SUNDAY 20th March.  Starting with a donkey walk, meet outside St Cuthbert's at 9.15 am with your walking boots on!  We will be joined this year with two donkeys and two ponies.  We will walk to Burton Overy village hall for breakfast and crafts then celebrate with an all age service at St Andrew's at 10:45.  Following the service there will be rides for the children.  If you are unable to walk then please join us at Burton Overy village hall for 9:45.
