Sunday 31st March – Fourth of Lent

Collect for Today
Merciful Lord,
you know our struggle to serve you:
when sin spoils our lives
and overshadows our hearts,
come to our aid
and turn us back to you again;
through Jesus Christ our Lord

Post Communion Prayer
Lord God, whose blessed Son our Saviour gave his back to the smiters
and did not hide his face from shame:
give us grace to endure the sufferings of this present time with sure confidence in the glory that shall be revealed; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Electoral Roll Update

The new Electoral roll for Great Glen, Burton Overy and Carlton Curlieu is now complete and ready for inspection to check for omissions and mistakes.  If there is anyone who still wants to add their name, or, if you spot any mistakes, please let Anne or Helen know today.  Thereafter there can be no further amendments before the annual meeting on 9th April for Great Glen and 11th April 2019 for Burton Overy and Carlton Curlieu. Thank you to everyone who has returned their forms and helped to make this process much easier than we anticipated it would be!

Safeguarding Officer: as we have our elections at St Cuthbert’s on the 9th April, Moira is wanting to step down from this role so we are in need of someone who is willing to take on this role as it is vital for the church to make sure that we are up to date with all current standards. If you are interested please come and speak to Kim or one of the church wardens.
