Gracious Father, you gave up your Son out of love for the world:

lead us to ponder the mysteries of his passion,

that we may know eternal peace through the shedding of our Saviour’s blood, Jesus Christ our Lord.

give us the will to be the servant of others as you were the servant of all,

and gave up your life and died for us, but are alive and reign, now and for ever

Thank you to everyone  who has supported me during  my last 3 weeks of intensive  Radiotherapy - by prayer  and practical help in several  different  ways. It will be wonderful not to spend future mornings on the 'hospital run' and to look  forward again .However,  my sore side-effects (externally and in my mouth) are likely  to be  with me for  a few more  weeks yet..

The deadline for contributions to 'The Magazine' gets ever closer, and unlike some other deadlines it is not being kicked into the long grass!

Saturday 13^th April – Spring Cleaning

The church will be open from 9-30 until 12 o’clock for Spring Cleaning. Any offers of help with dusting and polishing would be really appreciated.

Easter Sunday 21^st April

We will have a joint service at 10:30am, with communion and will have an Easter Egg Hunt for the children after the service. Please see the separate sheet for all of our Easter services.

14^th April  Donkey Walk

Palm Sunday

9:15 am at St Cuthbert’s, Great Glen with a walk to Burton Overy village hall for breakfast. We will pick up people at the Methodist church 9:30 and at the top of Oaks Road 9:45 (times are approximate according to the donkeys). The service that day will be at 11:00 am at St Andrew’s to accommodate enough time for breakfast). Anyone unable to join the walk please meet us at the village hall for 10 am. Event is free (donations towards breakfast appreciated but not required).

Confirmation 19^th May at

St Peter’s Oadby

We will be having a deanery confirmation at St Peter’s on the 19^th of May. We have begun a confirmation course on Tuesday mornings if you would like to join us please come and have a chat with Kim.
