This
week:-
Lent Course takes place every Monday evenings at 7:30 pm and
Wednesday afternoons at 1:30 pm during Lent.
We are basing the course on the ‘The
Greatest Showman’ movie as we will use the message of the film to be the focus
of the study over the coming weeks.
Monday nights are held at Linda and Simon Harwood’s house
Wednesday afternoons are held at St Cuthbert’s.
ALPHA Course starting in April.
We will be running the Alpha Course on Thursday Nights starting the 23rd April starting at 7:00 pm. It will run for 10 weeks. The hope is to run the course in the skittle alley at the Royal Oak in Great Glen. The night will start with a meal, there will be a short teaching video followed by discussion. 29th March after the 10:45 am service at 12:00 pm, this is our
annual general meeting. It would be great to have as many
as possible to join us on the day. It will be a bring and share meal so we can
have fellowship together and chat through the next step for us as a benefice.
There are some changes ahead so please sign up so we know how many are coming.
Choir Practice – This
week
Choir practice will be
on Thursday 19th March instead of Friday 20th March.
The Leicester Grammar
School Choral Society
(Community Choir) Concert is on 20th March 7.30pm at the Grammar School
singing Vivaldi’s Gloria, some Gershwin, and designed to appeal to young and
old! It is a massed choir event with various schools attending as well as the
Choral Society.

Kitchen
and Cleaning Rota for St Cuthbert’s Church
Thank you to those who have already volunteered. However we do still need more to help
St Cuthbert’s church is in great need of volunteers to
help with cleaning including polishing the brass. We also need volunteers to help with teas and
coffees between services.
If you can help in anyway to keep our lovely church looking
clean and tidy, please contact Jenni Neal at jenni.neal@outlook.com to let me know your availability.

supporting those over 18 who are currently not working with all aspects of
finding employment.

Greeting Cards
Please have a look at the new cards on display. Most
of them are just £1. The price is on the envelope. All profit made from sales
goes toward the work of the Mother’s Union world wide giving practical support
for families and communities in deprived areas and protecting children. Please
put money in the small yellow box which is in with other cards on the table
just inside the door.
The Annual Parochial Church meeting for the parishes of Carlton Curlieu and Burton Overy will be held on Wednesday 6th May 2020 at 7.30pm in St Andrew’s Church,
Burton Overy. The parish electoral roll will be updated before
that date. The names on the current roll will be displayed on the notice board
in the porch. Please check that your
name is on the list. If you spot any omissions
