At Communion Services
If you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and wine.  Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing.  Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing.   If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

NOTICES

ST CUTHBERT’S APCM 2nd April, 12:30 pm There will be a bring & share lunch to begin with followed by the AGM/PCC meeting and finishing with an open discussion about the different things that are happening in the church. It would be lovely for as many to come as possible and in our discussion at the end it would be good to hear your thoughts and ideas about how things are progressing.

PALM SUNDAY: It is time for our annual Donkey Walk again on the 9th April. We will leave St Cuthbert's around 9:15 am and walk to Burton Overy for bacon sandwiches and crafts for the children, after which we will have a slightly delayed service at 10:45 in the church. Weather permitting the children will be able to have a ride on the donkeys after the service. If you are unable to walk with us please do join us at Burton Overy village hall for 10 am.

NEXT MEN’S CURRY EVENING will be on Wednesday 5th April.  See Charlie Ford for details or call him on 07534401547 email charles.ford316@gmail.com

LADIES NIGHT OUT The next meeting will be on 19th April at the Oadby Grange Farm Pub at 7.30.   If you haven't been before please come and join us, we are a very friendly crowd and the evening is good fun.  If you require transport or to book your place please contact Mo John, on 07818003392(mobile) or 0116 2593504 or by e-mail mojohnal@gmail.com.

EASTER FLOWERS  If you would like to make a donation towards the cost of the Easter Flowers at St Cuthbert’s Church would you please hand it to Phyllis Hallam, Lyn Flowers or Carole Neal.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS  We have made the decision to have one service instead of 3 smaller services in Holy Week. On the Tuesday of Holy Week, 11th April at 7:30 pm, we will have a contemporary Stations of the Cross. Garry Bedford has kindly agreed to create pictures for us to use at each of the stations and it promises to be both a moving and reflective night.

GOD PARENTS DAY  A new type of celebration has begun with the Church of England. They are inviting people to join in celebrating the role of Godparents for the children that are baptised within our churches. It is on the 30th April and we will be trying to invite parents and godparents of those who have been baptised over the last couple of years. So if you have any questions do ask David Webster or Kim for details. If you know any godparents please do invite them along.

VIOLIN CONCERT The proposed recital by Anna Tulchinskaya (violin) and friends will now be on May 6th rather than the proposed original date of 22nd April 2017. Watch this space for further details….

BIBLE  READING  NOTES  Thanks  to  all who  have  said  that they  would  like to  take  BRF Bible  reading notes  on an annual  basis  starting  this coming  May. When I have received  our  group  order I will make sure  everybody's  copy is placed at the back of our churches  to be collected. The annual  subscription  is £13.20p and I don't  require  any  money  till you have picked  them up. I shall  pay  the total by Mastercard and I would  be  grateful  if you  could  reimburse  me  in cash or by cheque.  If you  are  still thinking about these helpful  notes, you  can  contact  me  in the next week before  I give my final  order. It's  well worth  a  try.  Christine  Higgins     259 2624 or chrisples@btinternet.com

FOOD HYGIENE  Please ensure that all packets of food stored in the Church are put in sealed plastic boxes.  It is also important to remove anything you have stored in the fridge by the ‘use by’ date without fail.  A recent audit of the kitchen area highlighted concerns.

MARKET HARBOROUGH FLOWER CLUB will be presenting a flower demonstration by Dutch Master Florist and Chelsea Gold Medalist, Hans Haverkamp. This will take place at Robert Smyth School, Market Harborough on Wednesday 10th May,    Doors open from 6.45 p.m.  Cost of tickets £10 each available from Linda Marshall.  ;   Phone no: 07828151317 or email address: fcmhsecretary@yahoo.co.uk

·         Mollie Alexander, Margaret Bannister, Lara Beech, Elizabeth Tacey, Martin Tacey, Mike and Katherine and family, and all who are ill
·         Francesco Ventrone who will be baptised on 2nd April at St Cuthbert’s
