At Communion Services
If you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and wine.  Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing.  Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing.   If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

NOTICES

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY 12TH NOVEMBER 10:50 am- Our service will be slightly later on Remembrance Sunday and there will be no 9:15 am service that day. Please note that the church does get very full, very quickly so please come early if you would like a seat. The Burton Overy Remembrance will be at 6:30 pm at St Andrew's.

CHURCH BREAKFAST There will not be a breakfast after the 8am service on Remembrance Day.

ARCHBISHOP JUSTIN WELBY is coming to Leicester. His main reason for being here is to encourage us in mission and prayer. Kim has tickets to see his talk on the 14th November at 7:30 pm. It will take place in the Leicester Rider's Stadium. If you would like to come please call or email Kim as soon as possible as the tickets are going fast. The event is free but tickets are required.

LADIES NIGHT OUT will be on November 15th at the Oadby Grange Farm pub for 7.30pm. We are having our December meal on 20th December at the same venue. Please contact Mo to get your name down, ideally the December LNO by 15/11, as Mo will need to confirm numbers early since this will be in the busy Christmas period. Carole Henson and Mo John mojohnal@gmail.com Tel. 0116 2593504

BIBLE STUDY HOUSE GROUP will meet on Tuesday 21st November - 7.30pm at The Springs, Carlton Lane, Burton Overy.

QUIET PRAYER AND MEDITATION  The next meeting is on December 13th.

THE CECILIAN SINGERS – One of Leicestershire’s leading mixed voice chamber choirs will be paying their first visit to sing in St Cuthbert’s Church on Friday 8th December at 7.30 pm.  Wine or soft drinks and mince pies will be served during the interval.  Tickets cost £12.50 for adults and £5 for children and are available from Moira.

LIFTS TO SERVICES: If you need a lift to any of our services, please contact Rev’d Kim for Great Glen or Richard Bloor (259 2440) at Burton Overy to arrange one for you.

WHY NOT put an extra can or tin in your shopping basket to bring to church services.  St Cuthbert’s supports Leicester Cathedral’s Welcome Group for destitute asylum seekers and St Andrew’s supports a homeless charity.  No biscuits, cereals or any other packet foods please as the mice are quite partial to these.

Please pray for:
·         Mollie Alexander, Margaret Bannister, Sue Burnham, Christine Higgins, Katherine, Mike and family, Elizabeth Tacey, Martin Tacey, and all who are ill
·         the soul of Kit Burrows and his family.  Kit worked tirelessly for the Church and will be sadly missed
·         Bishop Martyn whose mother passed away recently
·         the people who have been killed in the New York terror attack, their families and friends.
