At Communion Services
If you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and wine.  Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing.  Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing.   If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

NOTICES

SERVICES: PLEASE NOTE the 29th October is a 5th Sunday so we have combined the two later communion services and are having one family communion at 9:15 am (this is for this Sunday only). The 8 am will be at Burton Overy. I hope that will be OK for everyone. It will be a communion service.

ALL SOULS SERVICE, Thursday 2nd November, 7:30 pm at St Cuthbert's. This service is for those who have lost someone and would like to remember them. Candles will be lit and prayers said for those who have gone before us but are forever in our hearts.

COFFEE ROTA AT ST CUTHBERT'S please note we need volunteers to help us serve coffee at 10:15 am the first three Sundays of each month. People who are there earlier can set up but we need people who are willing to serve in-between the two services. If you have time to offer hospitality to others please do sign up on the list on the kitchen counter.

QUIET PRAYER AND MEDITATION  .Unfortunately  the meeting  on October  25th has been cancelled.
Advance notice for your diaries. The next meeting is on December 13th.

BIBLE STUDY HOUSE GROUP will meet at The Springs, Carlton Lane, Burton Overy on Tuesday 24th October at 7.30pm.   We are looking at the Book of Revelation.

CHURCH BREAKFAST There will not be a breakfast after the 8am service in November due to the Remembrance Day Service. 8am breakfast will resume on 10th December.

THE CECILIAN SINGERS – One of Leicestershire’s leading mixed voice chamber choirs will be paying their first visit to sing in St Cuthbert’s Church on Friday 8th December at 7.30 pm.  Wine or soft drinks and mince pies will be served during the interval.  Tickets cost £12.50 for adults and £5 for children and are available from Moira.

LIFTS TO SERVICES: If you need a lift to any of our services, please contact Howard Bartlett (259 3747) at Glen or Richard Bloor (259 2440) at Burton Overy and they will arrange one for you.

WHY NOT put an extra can or tin in your shopping basket to bring to church services.  St Cuthbert’s supports Leicester Cathedral’s Welcome Group for destitute asylum seekers and St Andrew’s supports a homeless charity.  No biscuits, cereals or any other packet foods please as the mice are quite partial to these.

Please pray for:
·         Mollie Alexander, Margaret Bannister, Sue Burnham, Christine Higgins, Katherine, Mike and family, Elizabeth Tacey, Martin Tacey, and all who are ill
·         the soul of Marianne Robinson and her family
·         the soul of Kit Burrows and his family.  Kit worked tirelessly for the Church and will be sadly missed
·         Constance Timpson who will be baptised at Carlton Curlieu on 29th October
·         the people in Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, and Gaza, and all other places of conflict in the world, that peace may return.
