NOTICES

Great Glen Wheelbarrow Race
for LOROS - 1st September
We are looking for volunteers to help in running our cake stall (half of the proceeds will go to Loros and the other half to the church). We also need people willing to bake cakes. We will be having a cake stall next to a prayer tent so we will have prayers and cakes! So if you can help in any way through being there to help run it, baking cakes or being willing to pray for others please sign up on the sheet in the back of church. Help us to be a witness in our village.

The Quiet Prayer and Meditation group is having a break during Summer. Watch out for notices in the Autumn to say when this group will begin to meet again. Anybody who is interested should contact Christine Higgins on 259- 2624.

Morning Service (Matins)

We are looking for an accompanist from September 2018. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings during term time, 7.30-9pm at Trinity Methodist Church, Oadby. Please contact the Parish Office for more information.

Prayers for Healing
Special prayers for healing will be available during communion at the 9.15 am service the first Sunday of each month. Please come up for communion and if you wish to have prayer simply go the area near the font where there will be people to pray with you.

Gift Aid Reminder
If you put a donation in the blue gift-aid envelopes that are in the pews please be sure to fill in title, name, house number and postcode.
I cannot claim the gift-aid if I don’t know who you are! There should be a pen in each pew in the main aisle.

New Weekly Envelopes
Thank you to all those people who make a regular weekly donation to the church through the envelope scheme. It is such a help in our planning to know that we can rely on a weekly income in this way. The boxes of envelopes for existing participants for the next year beginning 2nd September will be ready for collection from church in August.
If you would like to join the envelope scheme or make a regular donation by direct debit please get in touch with Revd Kim, Carol Neal or myself. You will appreciate that our expenses for lighting, heating, maintenance work and getting the sceptic tank emptied regularly are increasing. Also, if we want to keep a full-time parish priest in our benefice we need to be able to make a payment toward their salary.
Amy Cook ( Churchwarden )
