rejoicing in the righteousness
that is ours through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Lord God,
the source of truth and love,
keep us faithful to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship,
united in prayer and the breaking
of bread, and one in joy and simplicity of heart,
in Jesus Christ our Lord.

NOTICES

Celebration of Life, finishing with Harvest Festival 10:30am
7th Oct
at St Cuthbert's
with Bishop Martyn Snow.

After the service we will be having a bring-and-share lunch.
As we were unable to have our annual Pork Supper this year we are hoping to incorporate it into our bring and share lunch. The idea is that we will have a few people who will roast the pork and bring it in for the day and we would like others to bring things to go with it.
There will be a list at the back of St Cuthbert's so please do sign up for the various foods so we can make a great celebration.
Thank you.

Harvest - 'A Celebration of Life'
October 5, 6, & 7
St Cuthbert's Church
Over the St Cuthbert's Harvest weekend we will be holding an Arts Festival. So if you or anyone you know would like to exhibit their  paintings; drawings; sculpture; photography or crafts then pick-up an entry form. It is open to all ages and abilities so why not show off your artistic talent. You will also have the opportunity to sell your work.
For more information speak to either Sarah, Charlie or myself. Garry

Ride and Stride
Saturday 8th September
Jo Taylor and Katrina Inchley, both keen cyclists, have offered to ride in aid of St Andrew's Burton Overy, and Dave Henson is riding again in aid of St Cuthbert's - thank you to you all.
All we need now are some sponsors!

We also require people to sit in church to 'meet and greet' visitors to the church to offer refreshments, (these will be provided) and initial their sponsor forms. A rota with hourly slots to sign up to is placed on the table at the rear of the church. It is also a chance for visitors to look around our beautiful church. Your help would be greatly appreciated.   Carol Neal

Choir Practice 7th September at 7.00p.m. Everyone welcome!

Festival Singers
If you enjoy singing come and join two practices on Mondays, September 3rd and 10th at 7.30pm in Burton Overy Church.  We are hoping to sing at the major festivals in the churches in the Benefice.

Tuesday 4th September 7.30pm  Bible Study House Group
meets at The Springs, Carlton Lane, Burton Overy

Ladies Night Out
The next Night Out at the Grange Farm Pub will be 19th September.
We have seventeen, so far for Launde Abbey, December LNO – a few £10 per person deposits still to collect. This is proving popular and any further interest will have to be with a deposit, please. Sorry my article in The Magazine is a bit misleading, I will need all the deposits in by October. This will allow time to sort out transport and dietary/disability requirements. Many thanks
Mo and I look forward to seeing you at church, or around the villages.
