Sunday 9th September –
15th Sunday after Trinity

Collect for Today:
Lord God,
defend your Church from all false teaching
and give to your people knowledge of your truth,
that we may enjoy eternal life
in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Post Communion Prayer:
Keep, O Lord, your Church, with your perpetual mercy;
and, because without you our human frailty cannot but fall,
keep us ever by your help from all things hurtful,
and lead us to all things profitable to our salvation;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Artsfest - 'A Celebration of Life'
October 5, 6, & 7 St Cuthbert's.
Over the St Cuthbert's Harvest weekend we will be holding an Arts Festival. So if you or anyone you know would like to exhibit their  paintings; drawings; sculpture; photography or crafts then pick-up an entry form. For more information speak to either Sarah, Charlie or myself. Garry

A Place of Welcome
Every 1st Wednesday in the month a new group called A Place of Welcome will meet in the village youth centre between 1.15pm and 3.15pm.
Why not join us for coffee, cake and conversation and help us to shape this group into the community you would like to see it become.
For more information please speak to Sarah Collins

Greeting Cards
There are some new greeting cards on the stand in the porch. They are produced by Mothers’ Union. All profit goes toward the charity’s work with families throughout the world.
There will also be examples of their Christmas Cards in church for the next 4 Sundays. If anyone would like to order cards they come in packs of 10. Amy Cook

New Home Group

We are planning on starting a home group in Great Glen. This will be a weekly group and we will meet in somebody's house. The purpose of the group will be to have fellowship and get to know each other better and to study the Word of God together.
We hope to have our first get together by the end of September.
There is a sign up sheet at the back of St Cuthbert's church to help us get an idea of numbers and we'd be grateful if you could add your name and your preferred days to this if you're interested in coming along. Gemm

Sound and Vision
We are now developing more services using sound and vision; using the digital projector and mixing the sound through the sound desk. We are keen to get more people involved in helping to set up and "tech" some of these services both at St Andrew's and St Cuthbert's. If you think this is something you could help with, please speak to Dave or Simon.

Prayer Rota
Simon and Gemma Herrick are currently putting together a rota for prayer and intercessions at the 9.15 service. If you would like to be included on the rota for either intercessions or be part of the healing prayer team, please contact them on gemmaherrick@hotmail.co.uk.
