news in the pews

Sunday 16th September – 16th Sunday after Trinity

Collect for Today:
Lord of creation,
whose glory is around and within us:
open our eyes to your wonders,
that we may serve you with reverence and know your peace at our lives’ end,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Post Communion Prayer:
Almighty God,
you have taught us through your Son that love is the fulfilling of the law: grant that we may love you with our whole heart
and our neighbours as ourselves;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

New Home Group
We are planning on starting a home group in Great Glen. This will be a weekly group and we will meet in somebody's house. The purpose of the group will be to have fellowship and get to know each other better and to study the Word of God together.
We hope to have our first get together by the end of September.
There is a sign up sheet at the back of St Cuthbert's church to help us get an idea of numbers and we'd be grateful if you could add your name and your preferred days to this if you're interested in coming along. Gemma
