New Home Group

The first Great Glen weekly home group will be meeting tomorrow,  Monday 24 September at 7.30pm.

Celebration of Life, finishing with Harvest Festival 10:30am
7^th Oct at St Cuthbert's
with Bishop Martyn Snow.
Bring & Share lunch at 12:30 (after morning coffee). We will have a few people bringing jacket potatoes so we are asking everyone else to bring food to go with the potatoes. There is a sign up sheet at the back of the church. Can you please make sure that your dish or pudding is enough for 6 people? We would love to have as many people stay as possible to join in the fellowship.

Prayer Rota

Simon and Gemma Herrick are currently putting together a rota for prayer and intercessions at the 9.15 service. If you would like to be included on the rota for either intercessions or be part of the healing prayer team, please contact them on gemmaherrick@hotmail.co.uk.

Ladies Night Out
The deposits of £10 per person are needed by 1^st October for the Launde Abbey meal in December, thank you, either to Mo or Carole.

Greeting Cards

There are some new greeting cards on the stand in the porch. They are produced by Mothers’ Union. All profit goes toward the charity’s work with families throughout the world.

There will also be examples of their Christmas Cards in church for the next 4 Sundays. If anyone would like to order cards they come in packs of 10. Amy Cook.

A Place of Welcome

Every 1st Wednesday in the month a new group called A Place of Welcome will meet in the village youth centre between 1.15pm and 3.15pm.
Why not join us for coffee, cake and conversation and help us to shape this group into the community you would like to see it become.

St Cuthbert's Harvest Artsfest

'A Celebration of Life'

5th; 6th & 7th October

There is still time to enter your artwork for the Harvest Arts Festival, please pick up an application form in Church.

We also require 'helpers' to welcome visitors, serve refreshments and 

supervise the exhibition, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mothers’ Union

The next meeting of the local Mothers’ Union Group will be at St. Andrew’s church, Burton Overy on Tuesday October 2^nd starting at 10.15am.
The topic is “Songs of Praise” and will be led by the Revd Dr. Bernard Higgins. All are welcome to come and sing along with us. Please let Anne Folwell know if you would like to share your favourite hymn.

Quiet Prayer And Meditation

After a summer  break we will meet again at 3.30pm on Wednesday, September 26th at 20, Kingfisher Close. This is an opportunity within  our busy lives to find space to share some readings and prayer(often silent).

If you have never been before, you are very welcome to join us for this quiet relaxed hour.

Please bring your canned/non-perishables to the Harvest Festival on 7^th Oct. We are looking for canned goods, rice, flour, lentils, coffee, tea, soups. Please remember that many of the refugees are from the Middle East and Africa so the unusual foods like chickpeas and couscous are appreciated.
