If you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and wine. Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing. Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing. If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

Kibworth Band Concert at St Cuthbert’s Church at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday,
6th February. Entrance is £8. payable on the door. Refreshments (for a donation) will be available during the interval. Please can everyone bring as many people as they can so we have a good church full – the band sounds wonderful in our church and it will be a very good evening.
Haiti Earthquake – There are a number of appeals for this which I’m sure many people are donating to. However, to make it easier for some people, we have put a bucket for donations at the back of St Cuthbert’s Church which we will send off to Christian Aid.

FareShare Leicester seeks maternity leave cover for Project Co-ordinator (12 hours per week) from 1st March. Good organisational and IT skills required. Based at Church House for two days per week with attendance at the weekly food distribution at King Richard’s Road on Mondays, with the other day being negotiable. This post is offered on a self-employed basis (£12. per hour). Snowdrops are a winter spectacle at Launde Abbey – Visitors will be able to enjoy a Snowdrop Spectacular at Launde Abbey on Sunday, February 21st, and Monday, February 22nd, 2010 when the Abbey opens again for Afternoon Teas. Guests will have the opportunity to stroll through the gardens and wander through the magnificent display of snowdrops to be found in the wooded walk behind the beautiful Tudor/Elizabethan abbey near East Norton in Leicestershire. Afterwards everyone can relax awhile over homemade cakes and tea. The Abbey will be open from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on both days and refreshments will be served all afternoon. The cost is £3.50 per person, including afternoon tea and a family ticket is also available (2 adults and 2 children) for £12. – under 3s are free. Open Gardens supporting Chalet Holiday Funds – On Sunday, 28th February from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. two gardens in Burbage will open their gates (National Garden Society) for Snowdrops and Hellebores in aid of the Mother’s Union Chalet Holidays. Children during the 10.30 a.m. Communion Services are invited to move into the north aisle (whether at Glen or Burton) after the confession to engage with the day’s bible story in ways that they will appreciate. They rejoin their parents in the pews at The Peace.
