If you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and wine. Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing. Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing. If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

NOTICES
MP Joint Choral Evensong at St Peter’s, Oadby next Sunday 14th February at 6.30 p.m. Do come and enjoy this wonderful evensong with its choir of 30+ singers drawn from various churches in our Mission Partnership. It’s a great chance to enjoy locally a service led by such a big choir – and so pleasant to enjoy refreshments afterwards with friends and fellow Christians from neighbouring parishes. All welcome, wherever they normally worship!

Haiti Earthquake – There are a number of appeals for this which I’m sure many people are donating to. However, to make it easier for some people, we have put a bucket for donations at the back of St Cuthbert’s Church which we will send off to Christian Aid.

Lent Course – This year, the Lent Course will be on Thursday evenings at the Methodist Church from 25th February to 25th March. We will not be following a course this year but offering individual sessions 7.30 – 9 p.m. each week.

The Israel Trip being led by Revd Philip Norwood (4th – 14th May 2010) has some places still available. We had a really lovely trip last year – if you are interested in knowing more about it, contact Philip Norwood on 241 0255.

Lent Lectures by Bishop Tim take place at Leicester Cathedral from 7 p.m. until 8.30 p.m. Each 40 minute lecture will be followed by questions and refreshments. All welcome.

Mothers’ Union – Diocese of Leicester – Vacancy for part-time Office Administrator from 8th June 2010. 9 hours per week spread over Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings for 44 weeks of the year in a very busy office where interaction with members is the norm. Fairtrade Fortnight 2010 – On Thursday, 25th February, at Courtyard Room, LCB Depot, Rutland Street, Leicester, two cocoa farmers from Ghana will give presentations on the impact Fairtrade has on farmers and producers in the developing world. Come and hear first-hand how Fairtrade has improved the lives of communities in Ghana.
