NOTICES
Plums – Mary’s garden is in full production again – please call in any time and pick plums from her trees – absolutely masses are just ripening! Please also help yourself to courgettes and runner beans during the last two weeks in August – such a pity to let them go to waste and the plants produce more if the produce is picked!

Alpha Course – We will be running an Alpha Course this autumn in conjunction with Glen Methodist Church on Monday evenings. There will be a taster session on Monday, 13th September, and the course will start the following Monday and end on Monday, 29th November (no session at half-term). To run this course, we need people who would like to do the course – so please think about people you know who might be interested and maybe come with them yourself to the taster session. We will also need a team of people to prepare and cook the meals and a team to serve the meals and wash up afterwards – the more volunteers we have the less work there is for everyone to do, hopefully not everyone will be needed every week. If you can help, please contact Chris Otway.

Knitting Teddies – Leicester Prison could do with a few more. If anyone has time to knit one, please obtain the very simple pattern, advice and help from Amy Cook (259 2610).

Gift Aid Envelopes – Will anyone who kindly donates money to St Cuthberts via the gift aid envelopes which are left in the pews, please note that it is essential that they include their name and post code on the envelope in order for the tax to be claimed. This tax revenue is a vital source of income to the church. Many thanks.

She will be accompanied by Vanessa Hounsome, music teacher at Kibworth High School, on keyboard. There is no fixed price or tickets but all are welcome. Donations will be welcomed towards Katie’s study costs for her year in London starting in September. Katie recently played the lead in the Vaughan Williams opera “The Poisoned Kiss” in Birmingham to rave reviews.
