The Benefice Prayer Group will continue to meet on Wednesday mornings to pray for the people and issues in our churches, villages and the wider world. There is a Prayer Request Box at the back of St Cuthbert’s Church – please do use it and encourage everyone to use it whether they share our faith and our church-going habits or not!
Vergers at St Cuthbert’s – We need a few more people who would be willing to act as verger at weddings and funerals on an occasional basis. If you can help or would like to know more about what is involved, please contact David Graves on 271 4420.
NIP during Mary’s sabbatical will be produced on a fortnightly basis rather than a weekly one to reduce the workload.

Women’s World Day of Prayer takes place this year at St Cuthbert’s Church on Friday, 4th March, at 2.15 p.m. A very warm welcome is extended to all ladies to attend.
Churches Together in Great Glen 2011 Lent Course – The Lent Course this year takes place on Wednesday evenings in Lent at the Methodist Church at 7.30 p.m. and the topics to be covered are as follows:-

St Giles’ Pews for sale – As you will be aware, St Giles’ Church has now been closed and its pews are being sold. If anyone wishes to purchase one for home or garden use, please contact David Graves on 271 4420. The cost is £35. each and they are being sold on a first come, first served basis.
Leicester Diocesan Association of Readers Dinner on Wednesday, 2nd March 2011. The Annual Dinner will take place at Taste Restaurant, Freeman’s Common Campus, Leicester College. Collegium Regale, the close harmony group of choral scholars from Kings College Choir (Cambridge) are doing a concert at Leicester Cathedral on Tuesday, 5th April, at 7.30 p.m. Tickets are £10.-£15. Tel 253 2569.
Children during the 10.30 Communion Services are invited to move into the north aisle (whether at Glen or at Burton) after the confession to engage with the day’s bible story in ways that they will appreciate. They rejoin their parents in the pews at the Peace.
Hearing Loop – St Andrew’s Church at Burton Overy now has a hearing loop as part of the loudspeaker system. If you wear a hearing aid, adjust the switch to the T position and you will hear the service clearly.
