If
you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up
to receive the bread and wine.
Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to
receive a blessing. Keeping your hands

contribute something however large or small as it all
mounts up and contact
the Vicar.

Great Glen Charity
For those struggling financially in the aftermath of
Christmas, there is money to help people buy vital new equipment such as a
washing machine and so, if you ever hear a comment like "I don't know how
I'm going to manage without…." please get in touch with the Vicar or one
of the other trustees (Fraser Gilbert, Alan Selway, Gerry Hinks, Andrew
Duerdon).
Lost key - A silver 5 lever key with a blue tab (with gold Viking
head embossed on it) has been found. If

Evening Services: from February
onwards there will normally be 3 evening services each month - 1st
Sunday at Glen Methodist Church ,
2nd Sunday at Burton Overy, 3rd Sunday at St.
Cuthbert’s Church. Each service will be
the usual service for that church but will be
available for both Anglicans and Methodists – effectively the evening
services will all be ‘United Services’.
Children during the 10.30
a.m. Communion Services - There are bible quizzes, colouring pictures, bible stories, etc available in a
children's area in the north aisle (whether at Glen or Burton ).
We hope that all children will come to the altar with their families to receive a blessing (or
communion).
Hearing Loop – St Andrew’s Church at Burton Overy has a hearing
loop as part
of the loudspeaker system. If you wear a hearing aid, adjust the switch
to
the T position and you will hear the service
clearly.
Humour is a gift – A confirmation
student was asked to list the Ten Commandments in any order. He wrote "3, 6, 1, 8, 4, 5, 9, 2, 10,
7."
Keeping people in
touch
– Please do take copies of this news-sheet to anyone you know who might be interested, especially
to those who can’t get to church at the moment.
Please pray:-
