At Communion Services
If you are a
communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive
the bread and wine. Otherwise you are
welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing. Keeping your hands down by your side will
signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing. If you have difficulty coming up to the
Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a
sidesman.

NOTICES
Remedial
works to the north porch - You will now see the extent of the repair work needed to the
porch and this does mean that the porch must remain closed until this work is
completed and consequently the toilets are not in use. Access
to the church will only be gained via the south porch. It is suggested that anyone approaching from Church Road use the
kissing gate and footpath to the side in order to keep well away from the
building site.
Car Parking - For safety reasons,
please ensure that when attending Church services you do not park within 35
metres of the old A6 junction.
Hearing Loop -
Due to the change of plan and the extent of the porch repair work, the loop will
be installed at the end of July or early August.
News in the Pews -
During the interregnum, Pam Whitfield will be producing News in the Pews
usually on a fortnightly basis. If
anyone has anything they wish to be inserted, please forward it directly to her
by email, phone or to her house, details are shown at the foot of the back
page. Alternatively, please contact
Roger Flowers (details also shown on the back page).
Church
Magazine - A way to support the church and keep informed at the same time - Do you already subscribe
and receive the re-styled quarterly magazine?
If not, for the modest cost of £5 for four issues a year the magazine
will be delivered to you. If you do
already receive the magazine, why not encourage your friends and neighbours to
subscribe too? For further
information/inclusion on the distribution list, please contact Lesley Selway on
259 2605.
The Benefice Prayer Group
will continue to meet on Wednesday mornings to pray for the people and issues
in our churches, villages and the wider world.
There is a Prayer Request Box at the back of St Cuthbert’s Church –
please do use it and encourage everyone to use it whether they share our faith
and our church-going habits or not!
