At Communion Services
If you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and wine.  Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing.  Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing.   If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

NOTICES

Remembrance Sunday 13th November  Please note that the time of the Service has changed from 10:50am  to 11:00 am.  Please come early as this service fills up very quickly.   Ideally you should be seated by 10.45 at the latest otherwise you may not be guaranteed a seat.

Mother's Union talk at 10:30 am on the 1st November at St Cuthbert's.  Kim will be talking about her trip to Tanzania.  All are invited to join us.  If you were unable to join us for the fish and chip evening this is a good opportunity to hear about our links in Tanzania. 

All Souls Thanksgiving Service for the Departed. A short service of reflection at St Cuthbert's at 7:30 pm, Wednesday 2nd November with an opportunity to light a candle and say prayers for those who have departed. 

A Worship Workshop is held every other Tuesday with year 4, 5, and 6 during their lunch hour 12:45 to 1:15.  Our next one is 25th October at St Cuthbert's school. 

Fish and Chip Supper  There was a very good turn-out for the presentations by Isaac and Kim about their work in India and Tanzania.   Everybody enjoyed the supper and left well informed about the work that is being undertaken in these countries.

Thank you to those at St Cuthbert’s Church who donated to the Haiti Relief Fund.  The amount raised was £158.

Ladies Night Out the next meeting will be at The Bell, Burton Overy on Wednesday 16th November for a 7.30pm meal.  All ladies welcome.  If you are interested – or need a lift – please contact Carole Henson hensonc@talk21.com 0116 2403368.

Church Breakfast  Please note there will not be a church breakfast, after the 8.30am service on 13th November, but will resume at St Cuthbert’s on Sunday 11th December. Any enquiries please contact Dave and Carole Henson 0116 2403368

Stoneygate School will be visiting St Cuthbert’s on the 8th of November.

Why not put an extra can or packet in your shopping basket to bring to church services.  
St Cuthbert’s supports Leicester Cathedral’s Welcome Group for destitute asylum seekers 
and St Andrew’s supports a homeless charity.
