Services
If you are a
communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive
the bread and wine. Otherwise you are
welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing. Keeping your hands down by your side will
signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing. If you have difficulty coming up to the
Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a
sidesman.

join us. We would love to see you.
MEN'S CURRY EVENING 3rd
May, 7:30 pm at The Swatlands, Oadby. All men are welcome for a
curry and a chat. If you would like to come along or need a lift please let
Charlie know on charles.ford316@gmail.com or phone him on 07534401547.
PLANNED GIVING You may wonder why members
of the choir do not add a donation to the collection plate during a service.
This is because we subscribe by direct debit through the Planned Giving Scheme.
Now is a good time to think about changing to this way of supporting our church
on a regular basis. It is especially beneficial if you are able to gift aid
donations as in this plan the Gift aid is passed on to the church each month
instead of us having to fill in a claim form after the end of each tax year.
There are packs on the table giving all the information about this scheme
together with an application form. Amy Cook (Gift Aid Secretary)

WHY NOT put
an extra can or tin in your shopping basket to bring to church services. St Cuthbert’s supports Leicester Cathedral’s
Welcome Group for destitute asylum seekers and St Andrew’s supports a homeless
charity. No biscuits, cereals or any
other packet foods please as the mice are quite partial to these.
Please
pray for:
·
Mollie Alexander, Margaret
Bannister, Lara Beech, Elizabeth Tacey, Martin Tacey, Mike and Katherine and family, and all who are ill
·
the soul of Eddie Mildred and for his wife
Sue, family and friends
·
the people in Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, and Gaza,
and all other places of conflict in the world, that peace may return
