At Communion Services
If you are a communicant member of a Christian Church, you are welcome to come up to receive the bread and wine.  Otherwise you are welcome to either remain in your seat or come up to receive a blessing.  Keeping your hands down by your side will signify to the Vicar that you wish to receive a blessing.   If you have difficulty coming up to the Communion Rail and would like the Vicar to come to you, then please inform a sidesman.

NOTICES

HARVEST FUN DAY - 1st October, at 10:30 am!   We will be having our annual Harvest Festival Service at St Cuthbert’s Church with a twist!   We would like all three churches to come together to celebrate as we launch our new service starting the following week.  The idea is to bring a picnic for yourself and whoever you are with and we will provide drinks and puddings.  There will be a skittle alley, face painting, small games for children, a clue search throughout the church and churchyard and also a shoebox competition - the idea being to decorate a shoebox and fill it with non-perishable foods for the Welcome Project.  There will be a prize for the best family box and the best individual box.  There will be no charge and all are welcome to join us for the day.

CAKES OR PUDDINGS NEEDED! As you have read we are having a fun day on the 1st October and as part of that we would like to offer the people who come cakes or puddings and a drink. If you are able to help with a cake or a pudding we would be most grateful. We are looking for easy to serve puddings for about 6-8 people (or more).  If you feel you can help provide a sweet could you please put your name on the sign-up sheet at the back of the church. There is a sheet in St Andrew's and St Cuthbert's. We also need a few extra hands to help us serve teas, coffees and soft drinks that day in half an hour intervals so if you would like to help there is space for volunteers on the same sheet. Thank you in advance for your help.

ANNUAL RIDE AND STRIDE DAY - Saturday 9th September. The event is organised by the Historic Churches Trust to raise funds to help churches with their repair work.  Do we have anyone who would like to cycle or walk around local churches - how about walking around all the churches in Market Harborough?   Sponsorship forms available in Church.  If you are interested please speak to Anne Bloor 2592440 or rabloor@gmail.com
All our churches will be open and if anyone can help in greeting visitors, signing their sponsor form and offering refreshments (these will be provided) would you please add your name to the list on the table at the back of church. Your help would be very much appreciated. Carol Neal Tel: 2592988

WEEKLY GIVING ENVELOPES are now available for collection at the back of the Church.

CONGRATULATIONS to Amy and Roland on the safe arrival of their new grand daughter, a sister for Harry.

LADIES NIGHT OUT will be resuming on Wednesday 13th September at 7.30pm, Oadby Grange Farm Pub. This is a group of ladies who meet to share a meal together and have fellowship.  New members always welcome, please contact Mo to enquire or put your name down.  Mo John mojohnal@gmail.com Tel. 0116 2593504. We look forward to seeing you in church, Carole Henson and Mo.

LIFTS TO SERVICES: If you need a lift to any of our services, please contact Howard Bartlett (259 3747) at Glen or Richard Bloor (259 2440) at Burton Overy and they will arrange one for you.
